There Is No Finish Line Here…
For a long time, I thought healing had a finish line.
I kept waiting for the day I would feel “done.”
The day things would stop resurfacing.
The day I wouldn’t need the same reminders or support anymore.
But healing doesn’t move in straight lines.
It circles back.
It revisits old places.
It asks us to return — not because we failed, but because we’re human.
I’ve learned that coming back to the same work doesn’t erase progress.
Each return carries more awareness.
More gentleness.
More choice.
Some seasons are about growth.
Others are about rest.
And many are simply about staying.
There is no version of you that needs to be finished to be worthy.
There is no point at which you “graduate” from healing.
There is no requirement to move on faster than your body allows.
If you find yourself needing the same support again…
If familiar feelings resurface…
If the work looks slower than you hoped…
You are not behind.
You are in process.
And that is exactly where you’re allowed to be.
Take what you need. Leave the rest. Return whenever you’re ready.
